First Day of School and Carnival

Audrey had her first day of preschool this week. She was soooo excited!
Audrey is so cute, and silly!

I forgot to take a picture of Kimee on her first day of 2nd Grade, but here she is wearing her first day of school outfit.
Kimee is so pretty!

Friday night we went to the school carnival. Grandma and Grandpa K came with us, and Jill, Jeremy, and Jackson. We had a great time. We didn't bring the camera, so we took pictures when we got back of the girls' amazing face paint. Audrey's is worn off a bit from lots of crying. She walked right into the van door when we were getting ready to go home. Kimee's is worn off on her chin from eating a snow cone. Yum!

Thanks for coming with us!

Liberty Land & Owlz Game

Today we finally got to go to Liberty Land. It's actually Trafalga now, but I like the old name better. This was the last fun thing on our summer to do list that we hadn't done.

I guess everyone else had the same idea, because it was packed. So we didn't get to do a ton of rides. We did our favorites a couple of times and decided to come back again when it wasn't so crowded.

Just Kimee and Daddy went on the bumper boats. I was a little annoyed that I stood in line for over 20 minutes, thinking I was going on with Audrey and Maddi, just to have Audrey say she didn't want to go when it was our turn. Since we were in line for so long, she kept watching everyone getting soaked. And she didn't want to get wet.
When we got to the front of the line, there was a sign that listed all the rules for the rides. Audrey pointed at some of the words and she said, "See Mom, it says, "This is not fun."
Later on, when we were at the airplanes, she pointed at another sign with words and she said, "This says, "This is fun."

Maddi loved the airplanes. She held on tight and cried when it was time to get out. She did NOT want the ride to be over.

Here we are waiting in line for the Rush Coaster. The rules here aren't as tough as Lagoon. They let Maddi ride with me; she squished in between Audrey and me. We all loved it. It was so fun!

Everyone loves the carousel. It's a bit rickety, but it will do. Maddi gave me her huge cheesy smile when she saw me with the camera. She is so adorable.

We also got to go to an Owlz game tonight with some of our favorite people. What a fun day!
Kimee took most of these pictures...

Football season, already?

I was so surprised when Dave announced it was time to mow the Y in the backyard. It can't be football season already!

While he was mowing, the girls gave the tree a haircut. They love doing this! But are only allowed in the fall, when the leaves are about to die anyway.

On Saturday, Dave and I went on a date to the opening BYU football game. It was really hot for the first half or so, but we had a great time.
We got to see 8 of BYU's legendary, All-American, quarterbacks honored at half time.
Dave got tickets with his friends from work, but this time we were able to bring our friends from the neighborhood, Lisy and Tyler. Lisy and I had a lot of fun visiting, but we did cheer on the Cougars when they needed our help to get the win.

miscellaneous summer photos

I have a bunch of miscellaneous photos left from this summer. I am just putting them all together into one random post. So here goes...

We had a couple of barbeques at our house the last week in July. The first one was with all of Dave's work friends just before his best friend from work, Jon, moved to Texas. Dave was so sad to have him leave. Hopefully they will be able to stay good friends with all the many convenient ways we have to keep in touch. We will really miss Jon's amazing cooking, especially on the grill.

Kimee and Camille (not wanting her picture taken :)
A few of the guys (Jonathan, McKay, Jon and Dave) at the grill.
The next barbeque was when my sister Lora and her daughter Sage were in town from Arizona. We had so much fun spending time with them.
Sage got to sleepover and go to church with us.

The girls wearing matching outfits to church on Aug. 1.

Kimee and Audrey had lots of fun in the blow up pool, especially with the big alligator (from their birthday party).

We had a little bit of weird weather the first week of August. Some bright sunsets, weird clouds, and sun showers. This was the tail end of a really bright orange sunset on August 1st.
Rain on Aug. 4.
