projects

The last time I blogged, I admitted that I hadn't done any major projects around the house yet this summer. So, when I finally got around to defrosting and cleaning out my freezer, which has been on my list for at least a year, I had to take some photo documentation. I had to have proof that I have actually accomplished something this summer.

Freezer with garbage can full of ice

Empty Freezer (Pretty amazing!)

Fully stocked again.

The whole time this has been on my list of things to do, I would go through a cycle of trying to eat as much food out of the freezer so there wouldn't be so much to empty out and put back in. We would get to a certain point where we really needed to stock up on food, and I knew I didn't have time to clean out the freezer, so we would fill it up again. Then I would mentally put off the chore until the freezer was more empty. This cycle went on and on several times. About a month ago I told myself that we were not buying ANYTHING that goes in the freezer, not even ice cream :( , until I have cleaned it out. And with summer here, I have no excuse (last summer it was just too hot, but this month we have had some really cool days).
SO, I got it done, threw out a bunch of old food and our freezer was nearly empty! A couple of days ago, we went to Costco and got all of our favorites to fill it up again.

Sorry this post is so boring. I promise I won't blog about all of my projects, only a select few!

St. George continued

On Sunday, we took some family pictures before church, and went to the temple grounds later that evening. It was a perfectly beautiful day!

Exhausted!

St. George

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went down to St. George. It had been pretty cool at home, so it was really nice to have some warm weather down there. My sister Lora and her daughter drove up from AZ. It was wonderful to spend time with them and my sister Jill, her son, and my parents, who came too. It was a fabulous weekend of swimming, relaxing, and having fun!
Gotta love that caramel popcorn!
Lora during the Suns game, cheering and texting like crazy!

Audrey's Hair

Audrey has the prettiest curl in her hair. It's pretty tough to blow dry the curl out, but Jill did it a few weeks ago. It turned out so beautiful!

What a silly girl!

Summer's Here!

We are having a great summer so far! We have a list of fun things we want to do this summer, and we already have quite a few checked off!

  • Swimming Lessons
Audrey practicing her back float.

Do you think Audrey's afraid of the diving board?

Nope! Not one bit.
She gets a little annoyed having to wait for the other person to swim to the side.
"Come on! I'm getting cold!"

 Happy Kimee

Kimee practicing her back stroke.

No fear! Kimee running off the diving board.
She is such a fish and absolutely loves swimming!
  • Soccer Camp
Kimee loved soccer camp. She went for four days and learned a lot about playing soccer. Although she still has no interest in being on a soccer team (which is fine with me!).

Audrey is in a class for younger children that teaches about four different ball sports. She loves balls and sports, so we'll see where this takes her.

  • Sleepover with cousins Mariah and Emi
 Dog Pile!!

Watching the movie Babe with yummy caramel popcorn!

We also have a list of projects to do this summer, and not one has been check off yet. Uh, oh! I have got to get busy on those projects...
