Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas Day. Audrey woke up first and had such a hard time waiting for Kimee to wake up. We finally let her go in and wake her up, I think it was around 7:30am. Then Maddi did not want to stop watching Curious George to go in and see what Santa brought. She was crying, mad and groggy, and would not cooperate to walk in to the living room by age order.

Reading the letter from Santa. . .

I took a picture of their stuff from Santa before they came out.

Maddi's corner . . . (you can barely see the trampoline on the left)

 Wow! Look at this!!!

 Maddi loves her baby.

After opening up all of our gifts, we went down to visit Dave's sister Carol and her family. His mom was there too, so we got to visit, exchange gifts, and tell our tales of Christmas morning with her as well. We had some stirum for breakfast and headed back home.

Audrey brought her camera to the Smith's and took quite a few good pictures.

Carol loves her new sewing machine.

David reading his Kindle and eating toy sandwiches from Maddi.

The rest of the day was spent lounging and playing with all of our new toys. The kids built a fort with all of the boxes. And I think had more fun with that than with their toys. (They did get into their toys more when the box fort was put away for our family Christmas party.) I got a color laser printer for Christmas, and so I had tons of fun, for the next week, printing off Primary song visuals in full color. Dave got a golf pass and a rain check for a new laptop.

Even Swicey got a couple of new toys.

Audrey took this picture of our tree with her new camera.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we had a special dinner with my sister Lora, her daughter Sage, and my parents. We tried to make it "fancy", and the kids loved it! As a matter of fact, they wanted to repeat the fancy dinner on Christmas Day (which we did), and on my birthday (which we didn't).

Maddi adores her cousin Sage. She can say "Sage", but she can't say "Lora" so we taught Maddi to call Lora, "Sage's mom".

After dinner, we read the Christmas story and sang songs, following the program that David's dad wrote up. The kids acted out the story with puppets and Little People nativity.

After that, we opened up our matching pj's. Dave got shamrocks instead (I didn't think he would like the pink ones).

Then it was time to get ready for bed. We left out cookies and carrots and a letter to Santa. It was such an exciting evening and we were all exhausted and ready for a little Christmas magic.

Kimee's New Room

We did Kimee's new room make-over during Thanksgiving Break. We have been planning for this for while, and thought we would do it at Christmas break, but there was just too much tension with the little girls getting into Kimee's stuff all the time. So we decided to move it up to Thanksgiving break. I had lots of fun looking and shopping online for horsey items for her new room.

Kimee and Audrey helped take down some of the baby deco from the walls. They were great helpers.

Maddi was really excited to move into her big girl room, where all the awesome toys are!

We finally got Kimee's room completed over Christmas break (we just had to get the curtains up). So here are some "after" pictures.

By the way, I love this room. I think it is so cute! Almost as cute as the girl who lives in it, but not quite :) I love you, Kimee!
