On Our Way. . .

On our way down to St. George, we stopped at the little petting zoo in Scipio (I remember it was Exit 188).  We had lunch at Dairy Queen and then met up with my parents, who were running a little bit behind us. It was like the beginning of our vacation.

These are pictures from the kids cameras of the animals...

We left our little dog, Swicey, with our cousins and her best friend Suzie. It was nice to have a break from the dog for a little while.

Snow Canyon

We have been to St. George several times on vacation, but never made it up to Snow Canyon State Park. We finally did this time! I am so glad we had cool weather while we were there. It was perfect and the kids LOVED the sand!

Three cute girls eating sherbet cups. Yum!  I got their matching outfits at Target so that we could take a family picture.

We came home for lunch and swimming and then went back in the evening for some more playing in the sand.

Art Show

At the end of May, Kimee and Audrey had their art show. It was really fun for them to show off what they had created and worked hard at throughout the year. It was also fun to have Grandma and Grandpa K. and Aunty Jill come too.
These are just a few...

Audrey's Preschool Graduation

Audrey graduated from preschool (for the 2nd time) on May 26. They did a really cute program where Audrey's line was, "We hatched a baby chick. We named him Uno." (They had a dozen or so eggs incubating in their classroom, but only one hatched.) They sang lots of songs, including: Zip-a-dee-doo-da, Alphabet Sounds, Hen on the Farm, Ladybug, Kookabura, and our favorite, We're Going to the Zoo.

Then she received her diploma from Mr. Theler and Miss Bonnie.

Mom and Dad are so proud of the most recent graduate in the family.

 So are grandma and grandpa.

Maddi and Kimee came to the graduation too.

Congratulations, Audrey! We love you so much!

Kimee's End of Year Excitement

In May, Kimee had a lot of fun events at school.

I was able to bring my class in to hear her class's animal reports. Kimee did hers on horses.
She got to read her report to the students and answer questions they had.

That day they also celebrated all of the summer birthdays with a pinata.

Later that week they had a class talent show. Kimee played the piano and sang a simple song, Mr. Bluebird.

During the last week of school, we had a dance festival. The 2nd grade performed the song, "I Like to Move It, Move It" from the movie Madagascar. Here is Kimee in her lion mask.

Here she is on the last day of school with her teacher, Mrs. Heap.
Kimee loved her so much. She was a wonderful first year teacher!

Summer!

I am usually celebrating like crazy that summer is here. But this year my schedule is already so full (of fun summer activities) that it hardly seems like it will be a break. I am excited to get to spend more time with my kids, but they are pretty demanding. Sometimes I think going to work is actually easier. We will probably get sick of each other after not too long, but we'll get through it.

So, the fun has already begun. We spent almost a week in St. George and have already checked of a few big things off of our Summer Fun To Do List.  I guess I am a little worried that with all the plans for fun activities, I might not have time to get done all of the projects around the house that I need done for my own sanity. So hopefully I can stop stressing about how much I'm going to get done this summer and just relax and enjoy it a little bit.

I haven't downloaded pictures for a while and a TON has happened in the last few weeks. I've got several hundred pictures to go through, and start posting, so here goes...
