May School Stuff

May is always such a busy month at school. The kids have a chance to shine in various performances.

May 22: Kimee dressed up as a pioneer and sang in her Utah program. They have been practicing the songs all year. I felt bad for the 4th graders because you could tell they were really sick of it. Audrey came to watch too. There were some pretty funny parts, like when the kids forgot the words, Jaqueline would tell them in an annoyed way way. Also when Kimee's square dance partner fell down.

May 8: Audrey sang along with one of her favorite songs (Cooler Than Me from Kids Bop 19) in the class talent show (with did the visualizer- it looks like a fireworks show in the back ground to make it cool/ concert style.)

May 6-10: Teacher appreciation week was amazing. Our PTA really outdoes it every year, and this week was out of this world!

May 24: Field Day at our school is really fun. They have concessions up all day so they can get treats, nachos, all sorts of treats to eat while the races and softball game

May 29: For the dance festival, the 1st graders danced to the Barnyard Dance. Audrey and I dressed up like farmers. Kimee is wearing the yellow shirt, dancing next to her good friend Norah.

May 30: Last Day of School. Kimee loved her 4th grade teacher Mrs. Clegg.

Dance festival and field day are always lots of fun.

Maddi's Birthday

Maddi turned 4 on Saturday, April 13, 2013. I know, she seems older than that, but I promise, I did the math. We decided to keep Maddi's party simple this year since we had so much going on. We did a Strawberry Shortcake theme and invited over her very best friend, Brynlie, and her two sisters. They played, swam, had cupcakes, and played some more. It was absolutely wonderful! All the girls were so happy with a friend to play with. That night we went to Outback for dinner.

Spring Break- Antelope Island

After the zoo, we stopped at the Arby's drive through for lunch in the car and headed up to Antelope Island. We had never been there before, but it was the perfect time of year to go. Hardly anyone was there, it wasn't too cool or too hot, no bugs or mosquitos and not too stinky:) It felt like we were on vacation in a different state. Kimee had chosen this as her topic for her Utah report, so we got some extra pictures of her. We all learned a lot and had a wonderful adventure to talk about for many months to come.
