Dave and Audrey took a shopping trip together at Costco. They turned towards the sporting goods area where there are big tents, slides, etc. set up and hanging from the ceiling. Dave had not looked ahead yet when Audrey gasps loudly and exclaims, "Wook at dat!" She was looking at the huge water slide on display (with 3 or 4 slides on it).
For the rest of the shopping, she continued on with her same expression,
Gasp, "Wook at dat!" (ranch)
Gasp, "Wook at dat!" (milk)
Gasp, "Wook at dat!"(cheese)
You get the idea.
Other cute things Audrey says:
(they are much cuter when you can hear the expression in her voice)
"Oh goodness!"
"Baby Mannin cryin again!"
And when she is mad, she says, "You stupid."
The other day Audrey was particularly frustrated.
She pointed at Kimee and said, "You stupid."
She pointed at me and said, "You stupid."
Then she pointed at herself and said, "You stupid."
We all started laughing.
Kimee has been trying to teach her cousin Sarah how to read the last few times Sarah has come over to play. A couple of days ago, Kimee said to me,"I really want Sarah to learn how to read. Just like Penelope's dad (the dragon in Barbie's Rupunzel movie) really wants Penelope to learn how to fly."
Kimee said to me the other day when we were sitting down to read together, "Mom, you smell like Maddi's belly button."
This is not a compliment. Maddi's belly button has been known to stink. But, I can't blame Kimee. I'm sure I was not smelling the best. I'm lucky I have time to brush my teeth every morning and night. Taking a shower is a luxury, and getting a shower AND doing my hair is near impossible. Ahh! Life with a new baby and a 2 year old is so adventurous (think Survivor)!
