Camping

We had a great time on our Kruck family camping trip last weekend. We stayed in cabins up at the Heber Valley Camp- very luxurious camping.

It didn't take long to find the dirt. Maddi was completely covered. She called out to say, "I'm dirt girl!"
Once everyone freaked out about her appearance, she was a little embarrassed.
Friday night, we went to one of the ropes courses (#5).
We balanced on wires light a tight rope.

Swinging to "Tarzan and Jane's" house was a lot of fun- my favorite activity.

Last, but not least, we did the big swing. Everyone did it and loved it! Audrey and Dave went all the way to the top. Mom, Kimee, and Maddi didn't go as high. It was still fun but not quite as scary.

There were bunk beds in the cabin that we slept and played on.

I even got a minute of reading in the quiet of the morning. It didn't last long. This is a book I have been trying to read since January.

 Luke and Maddi

Just before leaving on Saturday, we got some time on the lake. We went in a paddle boat. It was really hot and hard to steer, so not a great experience. Kimee complained the whole time and when we got off, she said, "That was fun!" We got everyone changed into clean clothes, turned on a movie in the van, ate some otter pops and oatmeal creme pies, and headed home.

Overall, it was a wonderful time and we are already hoping to go back next year!

  1. That looks like so much fun!! Love that rope swing. I did something like that at Lagoon (the sky coaster), scariest yet funnest thing I've ever done!!
